Hi Irene!
By now, I'm sure you'll already be down to just 61 days and counting! Yippee!
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a fantastic resort choice and one of my favourites. There are so many great activities around the resort to keep the kids entertained.
The beautiful, Silver Creek Springs pool has a great water slide and provides fun and interactive children's activities in the mid-afternoon each day. Games, dancing, all kinds of poolside fun with Youth Activity Cast Members! Be sure to watch for the 'changing of the guard' in the later afternoon when then lifeguards dance together around the pool. It's quite a sight!
Movies Under the Stars happens nightly on the resort beach. Roast some marshmallows and enjoy a Disney film on an outdoor screen! Be sure to visit Fire Rock Geyser which spouts every hour on the hour from early morning until 10pm. For a fun, indoor activity, visit the Front Desk and ask for the Hidden Mickey Hunt game! It's always one of my kids' favourite activities!
You can also enjoy catch and release Cane Pole Fishing next door at Fort Wilderness.
Also happening just next door is Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long. This nightly feature is a definite 'must-do' to add to your itinerary.
Your children are certainly welcome to dine with you at
Artist Point. If you're using the Disney Dining Plan, this is a 'signature' restaurant requiring 2 Table Service Credits per person. A kids menu is available and you can view the sample menus on the link above.
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your great question Irene.
Please feel free to write me back if you have further questions. I'd love to hear from you!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
