    11 Days and counting to our first trip!! Planning on dinner at DD with ADR for 6, staying at POFQ, can we make it to Epcot for 9pm Illuminations? Can we take a cab if necessary? Thanks so much for all your help!

    Get those mouse ears ready, you vacation is just days away!  Port Orleans French Quarter is one of my very favorite resorts.  Taking the boat to Downtown Disney is so much fun, you are going to love it.

    I always like to plan on 1.5 hours for a table service meal.  This will take you to about 7:30.  So can you make it to Illuminations?  Yes. A bit rushed maybe, but you can do it!   Here are some transportation options:

    Once you finish dinner, hop in a taxi and head to Epcot, about a 15 - 20 minute drive.  After entering the park, head straight to World Showcase Lagoon to find a nice spot to watch the show. 

    Another option:  Hop on Downtown Disney bus to the Beach Club.  From here, you can exit the resort on the Boardwalk side and walk into the back entrance of Epcot at the International Gateway.  Not including wait time for the bus, the actual bus ride is about 20 minutes with about another 10 minute walk to Epcot. 

    I hope this all works out for you!  I would plan to be at dinner a few minutes early so you can be seated as close as possible to your reservation time.   What a fun night you have planned, enjoy!
