My 180 days is coming up & I am trying to organize ADRs. Which is better for dinner with a large group (13 total) kids ranging 10mo - 7yr: Ohana or Whispering Canyon? Also, what time if I want to be in MK for electrical parade? Thanks!

    Hi Deanna,

Both 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe handle large groups effectively.  Both also have fun children's activities going on during the meal.  Therefore, I would base your decision on your group's preferences for food types.  If they like traditional American steaks and barbecue, then Whispering Canyon will be a rootin' tootin' good time.  If they're more drawn to food with an Asian flair (honey coriander chicken wings, egg noodles in a peanut sauce with pineapple, Asian barbecued pork loin, etc.), then 'Ohana is the ticket!

It's easy to get back to the Magic Kingdom from either of the resorts in which these two restaurants are found, but I would leave yourself a little extra time after the meal to explore the resort.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Polynesian Resort are attractions in and of themselves so you won't wait to just rush out of there after dinner.  I'd make a reservation at 5:30 pm so you could enjoy a meal at a leisurely pace then wander through the resort before boarding a boat or monorail back to the Magic Kingdom.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
