Hi Phyllis, welcome home and welcome back to planDisney! From one fellow planner to another, I salute your eagerness to plan ahead for your upcoming vacation, so let’s dive into the details about booking your
Disney Vacation Club villa 11 months out!
As you’re probably aware, Phyllis, booking at the 11 month window is known as the
home resort priority period and as its name implies, you can only book your Home Resort at that time. Currently, DVC Members can book 7 consecutive nights during this priority booking window. If you plan to stay longer than 7 nights (well first, lucky you for having such a long vacation!), you can modify your reservation to include an additional night as those days become available to book. You can either do so on the website or through
calling Member Services.
Phyllis, don’t forget that DVC provides us flexibility to
bank and
borrow our Vacation Points for those extra long stays! I’ve done that on several occasions when my family has stayed in bigger villas to bring extended family. And if you’re still short on points, you can also
purchase One-Time-Use Points to help fill the gap!
I hope this answers your question Phyllis and if you have any further questions on getting the most out of your DVC Membership, feel free to reach out to me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
