I have 4 days at Boardwalk Inn including passes for 2 days to parks for me and my wife. Do I need a specific park reservation or can we decide when we get there? Thanks, Greg

Welcome to planDisney, Gregory! I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like your trip to Walt Disney World is just around the corner! Have you started packing yet?

Wow! Disney's Boardwalk Inn! What an incredible resort! Although I never visited Atlantic City's Boardwalk at the turn of the century, this resort still feels nostalgic to me somehow. You are going to love the charming atmosphere and whimsical details. Since you have a few non-park days, I hope you'll take the time to enjoy all this area has to offer. I recommend a stop at The Cake Bake Shop Bakery by Gwendolyn Rogers. The dessert selection here is something you have to see to believe! Or if you prefer ice cream, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is not-to-be-missed. You'll want a reservation to be seated at a table inside, but I love just getting a treat at the walk-up window outside and taking a stroll around Crescent Lake.

There's good news, Gregory! It sounds like you purchased a date-based ticket when booking your room. These tickets do not need a park reservation, and you can, indeed, just decide which parks to visit when you arrive. The only tickets that require reservations are Annual Passes, Military Salute Tickets, Student Group Tickets, or Sport and Convention Tickets. If you aren't certain about your ticket type, you can attempt to make a park reservation, and the system will let you know. From the website, sign in and click on the drop-down menu under My Disney Experience. Choose the last option: Theme Park Reservations. From there, you will be able to see if a reservation is required for your ticket.

While you're at the Most Magical Place on Earth, I'd love to recommend EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which will be in full swing during your stay. It is included with your theme park admission and is only a short walk from your resort! There are incredible displays of artwork, along with the opportunity to actually meet some of the artists! You'll find interactive exhibits, more than twenty Food Studios, and a concert series called Disney on Broadway featuring actual Broadway stars live on stage! Disney Parks Blog has some helpful information about what to expect.

I just know that you and your wife are going to make the most magical memories on your vacation, Gregory. If there's anything else we can help with, please come back and see us here at planDisney!
