45 days away from our for WDW vacation and getting so excited!! I am planning some of the cannot miss shows and notice that they start when the Park close so I am not sure how that works..

    Hi Colleen!

Some of the huge nighttime spectaculars do start after the parks posted closing time!  A good example is Fantasmic! in Disney's Hollywood Studios which sometimes doesn't start until after the park is officially closed.  What that really means is that guests can't enjoy any of the other attractions in the Studios, but guests can still shop on the main streets, line up for Fantasmic! etc. until Fantasmic! starts.  So basically Fantasmic! is the last thing guests can do before leaving for the day!

By the way, a lot of guests like waiting until all of the attractions are closed to start shopping!  I don't think that's a good strategy.  The stores will usually be packed and things can be very chaotic.  Stores on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom are always packed after the attractions close for the evening!  I think it's best to do the majority of shopping earlier in the day and only get something at the last minute if it's an "emergency"!

Enjoy planning and have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
