Hey there, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney and Welcome Home, neighbor! I'm so excited to see you here with another oh-so-fun question! Chatting about Disney Vacation Club Resorts is my favorite!
Eeeek! In just days, you'll be arriving at
Disney's BoardWalk Villas, ready to begin your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I am SO excited for you! I could go on and on (and on and on) about everything that I love about BoardWalk Villas, including the theming, the lively vibe, the endless list of nearby restaurants,
Luna Park Pool (my favorite waterslide!), and the fun
Resort activities. This is one of my Home Resorts and has been my most visited home away from home since Walt Disney World Resort's reopening, so, you have come to the right place, and I'm thrilled to answer this question for you today!
My first list of BoardWalk must-dos revolves around the rumbly in my tumbly, and
this list is ENDLESS, so, here are my favorites. Our first stop is always
AbracadaBar, and if you enjoy a cocktail, I must recommend the Pepper's Ghost, a delicious libation unique to this very unique lounge. Secondly, dinner and breakfast at
Trattoria al Forno are both a must for my family on every trip. I daydream about the Poached Eggs with creamy Polenta for breakfast and the garlic bread and Lasagna al Forno for dinner. Mmmm. Next, don't miss
BoardWalk Bakery! It's the perfect place to grab the Everything Everything Sandwich for breakfast, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup for lunch, and the oh-so-yummy Key Lime Tart for dessert. Lastly, did you hear that
Flying Fish is re-open?! This signature dining experience is fabulous and has been excitedly welcomed back with open arms.
When we aren't snacking, one of our favorite things to do is rent surrey bikes from the BoardWalk or rent bikes from the Ferris W. Eahlers Community Hall and cruise the BoardWalk and around Crescent Lake. This is such a fun way to explore the Resort and surrounding area! While having a blast on the BoardWalk, be sure to stop and play the BoardWalk games! One of my favorite Disney memories is from last fall when my daughter jumped up and down with utter joy after winning a big prize.
My best advice is to spend time strolling up and down the BoardWalk during the day and at night and enjoy the entertainment and everything it has to offer to find your own favorites. With the return of
BoardWalk Joe's Marvelous Margaritas (one of my favorite little spots),
The To-Go Cart,
Jellyrolls, and the
Atlantic Dance Hall Thursday through Sunday nights, the BoardWalk is full of life and Disney magic again! There is SO much to do, see and taste here; you are sure to have the best time!
Jennifer, I'm wishing you the most magical upcoming vacation! Stop by any time to chat about DVC Resorts or anything you may have a question about!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
