    Hi, we are only 17 days away from our vacation! :) We have ADRs at Chef Mickey and were wondering how much time we should allow ourselves to get from MK to the Contemporary resort. Same question with AK to AKL for Boma ADRs.

    Hi Jennifer!

    I can feel your excitement as I type this response.  How exciting that your trip is only a few days away! 

    To get from the Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort (where Chef Mickey's is located) you can either walk via a pathway between the park and the resort (it takes about  7 minutes at a leisurely pace) or hop on the monorail one stop.  In my opinion, walking is faster.  I would allow 20 minutes to exit the park, make your way to the Contemporary and up to Chef Mickey's.  If you take the monorail, I'd add an extra five minutes (in case you just miss a monorail).  To get from Animal Kingdom to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (where Boma is located) you need to exit the park and hop on a bus to the Lodge.  The ride is only a few minutes, however, in the event that you just miss a bus, I would allow approximately 35 minutes (from the time you exit the park) to ensure you make it to your table in time.
