We are 30 days away from the magic! I have made some dining reservations, but my husband wanted to keep some days spontaneous (which I agree with). What are our chances of getting same day reservations? Is it better to try and get something now and cancel?

    Hi Heather,

I completely understand the need to build flexibility into your Walt Disney World vacation. If you were visiting during peak times, I'd still recommend booking meals. It seems you're traveling mid August? If so, you'll have more options booking meals while you're there. Each morning, stop by your front desk concierge. They will gladly provide you availability and book your reservation. We've done so many times and while you may not have the best selection, sometimes the spontaneous meals result in a very memorable experience.

    Have a magical vacation, Heather!
