The first thing I wanted to confirm with you is that you are attempting to pair
MagicBand+ devices? The older MagicBands will not work at the Disneyland Resort, nor will they pair with the
Disneyland Resort mobile app.
If you are trying to connect MagicBand+ devices, then I would also confirm that the My Disney Experience app (for Walt Disney World Resort) is closed on your phone if you have it, as that can sometimes interfere with the Disneyland Resort mobile app when trying to pair your MagicBand+.
If neither of the above options fix the problem, then I would recommend checking out the
MagicBand+ pairing tutorial to make sure all the steps are being performed correctly.
If you're still having trouble at this point then it would be time to
call a Cast Member at the Guest Information line. They might be able to better help you troubleshoot the issue based on the error you're receiving to find a fix! However, I can confirm that there are no limitations to when you can set up your MagicBand+ on the Disneyland Resort mobile app - you should definitely be able to set it up at any point while planning your trip.
