We are 10 days out from arrival at WDW with theme park view room at Contemporary. For online check in, one of the special requests is an odd room. What is the difference between even and odd? We can see the park from our room regardless, right??

    Hi there, Tiffany!

At Disney's Contemporary Resort, you have the option of an odd room or an even room when you request and upgrade to a Magic Kingdom / fireworks view room.

In an odd numbered Magic Kingdom view room, the beds themselves will face Magic Kingdom.

Even-numbered rooms have the beds facing the wall. You'll still be able to see the fireworks, but you'll lose the option to snuggle up while enjoying the spectacular show.

Make sure that you turn the television to channel 20 (do confirm this with the Cast member who checks you in); you'll have the music piped in to your room so you get the full experience.

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
