Welcome to planDisney, Tania! We are glad you brought your question to us.
Memory Maker allows Guests to download all their active Disney PhotoPass photos, including photos of up to 25 members of their Family & Friends List, for one price and offers savings over purchasing multiple individual downloads or prints. Once the Memory Maker entitlement is activated, Guests have 30 days in which to capture additional images. Disney PhotoPass photos currently expire 45 days after the date they were captured.
In the past, I too enjoyed editing my photos and adding frames and stickers. Several years ago, there was an update to the
Disney PhotoPass website, and the ability to add frames and stickers was no longer available. This feature remained in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, but only for iOS users -- Android users were unable to add frames and stickers.
I've noticed in recent years most of my Disney PhotoPass photos are now "pre-enhanced" when they land in my account.
On-ride photos already include frames and other graphics themed to the attraction. With videos, animations, and Magic Shots, it is always fun to see the surprises that appear in my photos!
Several months ago, my fellow panelists and I noticed frames and stickers had disappeared from the iOS version of the app as well. My pal
Eean recently chatted with the Disney PhotoPass folks, who confirmed this feature is no longer available and were not sure if it would ever return. I know it is frustrating when those buttons appear under the "Edit" option and then nothing happens. Because the ability to add frames and stickers has not been available for years now on the website or the Android version of the app, it seems to have been phased out.
Disney PhotoPass is continually upping its game with new photo experiences. Every time I visit I find new Magic Shots in the parks, such as the
Tiny World and
Super Zoom Magic Shots, as well as limited-time
seasonal Magic Shots like those available for the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival or other special events. My kids loved clowning around with
Disney PhotoPass Lenses. And have you heard about the new
Cinderalla Castle Mural of Memories? Guests have the opportunity to add one of their Disney PhotoPass photos to an augmented reality mural.
Tania, I hope you had a wonderful vacation, and despite your disappointment about the loss of Disney PhotoPass frames and stickers, you returned home with your heart full of magical memories that will bring you joy for years to come. Please stop by and see us again if you have any additional questions. We are always happy to help.
