Welcome aboard, Juan! Your children will never have the chance to be bored while you sail with Disney Cruise Line!
I chatted with the assistant Cruise Director of the Disney Magic while I was on the ship last week and one thing she said really stuck out to me. She said, "Our Youth Clubs are not daycare. Disney is an entertainment company that offers cruises, so we're different than other cruise lines that offer entertainment." She went on to explain how all the activities in the Youth Clubs are created as entertainment for the children, not simply a daycare environment. It was a great way to put it!
The Wonder has amazing
Youth Clubs for the children to enjoy either with their families or on their own. For most of the day, the Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab (which are the clubs for your kids' ages) offer secured activities for the kids only. Occasionally throughout your cruise, they will offer Open Houses where parents stay and experience the fun with their kids. My kids love to participate in the fun activities like making Flubber, storytime with Snow White or Belle, Pirate parties with Captain Hook, Mouseketeer training with Mickey, Toy Story Boot Camp and even more that occur each day in the clubs.
You will receive a Personal Navigator each day which lists the schedules for the events and activities as well as the shows and other fun happenings onboard. I promise that each of your kids will find just what they want to do in the clubs. You might even find it's hard to get them to leave the clubs!
So, while they are happily entertained, I hope you have the opportunity to sneak away for some relaxing adult time! The Youth Clubs are open from about 9:00 a.m. until around midnight each day.
Have fun planning, Juan! Please let me know if you have any other questions, as I'm always happy to help!
