Hiya Thomas,
Welcome to planDisney! I always love seeing Ohioans planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort (I’m a proud Buckeye alumna) and am excited to help answer your question today.
I was doing a little digging at my parents’ house and was pleasantly surprised to find some old Disney Dollars certificates. How cool that you were able to find an old Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket. So first off, the great news is that Walt Disney World Resort
honors all unexpired Theme Park tickets as long as they have remaining admission days (you can also potentially change the date on your tickets if they are date-based). I’m not sure if this applies to your theme park ticket, but the “next right thing” is to reach out to a Cast Member in
Tickets and Hotel Reservations. Once you share your ticket ID with them, they can help you figure out what works best for you to use your older ticket.
I hope this was helpful, Thomas, and that you are able to use your 5-day ticket. I’m not sure when you are planning to visit, but I know it will be magical whenever it is. Cinderella Castle is about to transform back into a color scheme reminiscent of 1995 (one that I know and love), so it is sure to be nostalgic. There are also new
entertainment offerings and
attractions on the horizon! Once you settle on dates, be sure to come back and visit us. We would love to help you prepare for your magical vacation.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
