On the day we are visiting the Magic Kingdom, we wanted to take the monorail to the Polynesian Resort to eat at 'Ohana and then back into the park. Is this practical or should we stay inside the park to eat?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Suzanne!

We love 'Ohana! The food is amazing and we never walk away hungry. Be sure to save room for the 'Ohana Bread Pudding for dessert - its fabulous.

We have often started our day at 'Ohana for breakfast or gone over for dinner and returned to the Magic Kingdom that evening.

Its super easy to get from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian Resort. You have two options:

    1. Take the Resort Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian. It will be the 3rd stop once you board at the Magic Kingdom; or
    2. Take a boat launch from the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian. It is a peaceful ride and a beautiful view heading to and from the Magic Kingdom on the Seven Seas Lagoon.

The Resort Monorail would likely be the easiest since 'Ohana is located on the same floor that you get on the Monorail at the Polynesian but sometimes families are just in the mood for a boat ride so I wanted you to know that's an option as well.

I'd allow myself at least 20 minutes travel time just to be safe and you'll need to plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation at 'Ohana to check in.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
