For my 8 day vacation this spring I dont plan on park hopping, but on one day I want to visit 2 parks. The park hopper is more expensive than buying a separate ticket and using 2 base tickets in one day. Is this possible? And how would my fastpasses work?

Welcome Back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Stephanie ~

Spending eight days at Disney World sounds fantastic! Unfortunately, the system will not allow Guests to enter 2 different parks on the same day by using 2 separate 1-park per day tickets. If you want to visit a second park on the same day, you will need to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets. When you enter a park, their system notes that entry along with the scan of your finger. If you try to enter a different park on the same day without the Park Hopper Option, the system will see that you have already entered a different park earlier that day and entry will not be allowed.

Disney FastPass+ service (FP+) is a great way to plan ahead and save time once you reach the parks. You can select up to 3 FP+ experiences per day at one theme park in advance. Guests staying on property can make FP+ selections 60 days in advance. Guests who are not staying on property but have already purchased tickets and linked them to their My Disney Experience accounts can make FP+ selections 30 days in advance.

After you have used all of the FP+ selections you made in advance (this means all of the windows of returns times have passed even if you missed one of your FP+ times), you can then select an additional FP+. After you finished that FP+, you can select another one, and so on. Your additional FP+ selections can be a repeat of one of your previous FP+ selections if FP+ is still available for that attraction. The additional FP+ selections can be made at a FP+ kiosk within the same park as the original 3 FP+ selections or you can also go to a different park from your previous selections to obtain another FP+ (if available). Keep in mind that if you want to go to a different park, you will need the Park Hopper Option on your tickets.
