For our 7 day trip to WDW in April, we'd like to alternate a park day with a hotel day. We usually stay in deluxe resort hotels. Which hotels offer the most/best activities or amenities for kids (3 and 1) so we can make the most of the hotel days?

    Hi Christina!

With a 1-year-old and 3-year-old myself, I completely relate to the need and desire to take things a little slower and fully enjoy a few resort days. Disney creates such a wonderful and unique atmosphere at all of their resorts and we definitely have family-favorite activities at each.  If I had to pick, our two top favorite Deluxe resorts for entertaining the little ones would be Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Each one perfectly balances a relaxing atmosphere and engaging activities we can all enjoy as a family.

No matter how many times I visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I am blown away as I walk into the lobby. The smell, the sounds, the sweeping savanna views -- all breathtaking!  We love to walk the trails around the resort and view the wildlife or even just sit on the deck and watch the animals graze. The pool area is also incredible and my kids love to splash around, play on the playground, watch the evening movies and more.  At check-in we make sure to ask the Cast Member for the Recreation Calendar to see what other great activities they have planned for the month.  Some of our usual favorites are face painting, cookie decorating, story telling and the animal or wild life programs, but be sure to check the current calendar to see what's available.  Disney's Beach Club Resort boasts Stormalong Bay, a three-acre water play area complete with a sandy beach bottom perfect for little ones to sit and splash, build and play. We also love to wander Disney's BoardWalk area right outside.

Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with, Christina.

    Magical Wishes,
