Hello. For a 3 day trip, can I purchase 2 single park tickets for days 1 & 2 and make the 3rd day a hopper? Online, when I am selecting the type of tickets, I only see an option to make them all one day OR all hopper tickets.

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney! We'd love to help you make the most of your time at Disneyland Resort.

When my family visits we also typically opt for three days of park tickets. It gives us time to really enjoy all the special details hidden around the parks, and we don't feel rushed to see everything in one day. If you're hoping to do the same you're already on your way to a magical vacation!

If you are purchasing three days of tickets in a single transaction you will not have the option to apply the Park Hopper upgrade to just a single day. The upgrade would apply to all tickets purchased in that transaction. Instead, you'd first have to purchase a 2-day/1-park per day ticket, and then go back to purchase a 1-day Park Hopper Ticket in a separate transaction. This will allow you to visit either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park during the first two days, and then Park Hop between them using the separately purchased ticket on the third day. Keep in mind, you'll need a theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit the parks.

I do want to mention that it may actually be more cost-effective to purchase a three-day Park Hopper Ticket, particularly during this busy spring break time of year. Multi-day tickets are discounted further with the more days that are purchased, and as of today, the Park Hopper upgrade would be a flat fee for all three days of tickets, vs. a slightly higher add-on to a single-day ticket. Just double-check the pricing before completing your purchase to be sure you're getting the best value during your travel dates.

When we visit, we almost always purchase Park Hopper Tickets as we like having the chance to ride our favorite attractions multiple times per day across both parks. It's just a short walk between the two entrances so it's really easy to go back and forth throughout the day. If you're planning to purchase Genie+ this would be even handier as you can book return windows at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day.

I hope this helps you make the best decision for your visit. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney with more vacation planning questions.

    Wishing you magic and memories,
    Amy
