Ok, so let’s get into it. I have pixie-dusted news! Even when you’ve paid in full, you can absolutely look into upgrading your
Disney Resort hotel from a Value to a Moderate, as long as there’s availability for your dates. It’s one of those wonderful “you never know until you check” moments… and sometimes the Disney stars align perfectly.
The easiest way to start is by logging into
My Disney Experience, heading to your reservation, and seeing if the “Modify” option appears. If it does, you may be able to upgrade right there online. If not, a
quick call to the Walt Disney World Resort reservations team is your best bet. Cast Members have a little extra behind-the-scenes magic and can tell you exactly what’s available and what your new total would be if an upgrade is possible.
Just a tiny reminder that moving to a Moderate Resort will possibly change your package price, but since you’ve already paid in full, they’ll adjust your balance based on the new total. Super simple!
