Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erica. I'm so glad to hear your family is making another visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! It's my pleasure to help you plan your vacation.
For a weeklong visit, I recommend spending 5-6 days in the theme parks. Plan for a relaxing arrival day; take time to explore the unique amenities at your Resort hotel, and visit Disney Springs for dinner and shopping. After a relaxing day, you'll be ready to hit the ground running at the theme parks the next morning! My family always makes Magic Kingdom Park our first stop. It's the perfect place to begin a magical week! We usually spend three days at this theme park; two days to experience everything, and a third to revisit our favorites on the last day of our vacation. Between our days at Magic Kingdom Park, we make sure to visit each of the other three theme parks. My boys are 6 and 8-years old, and they LOVE Disney's Hollywood Studios. With the opening of
Toy Story Land, you definitely won't want to miss it, so I absolutely recommend including a visit in your itinerary.
We've decided to have a bit more of a low-key stay this summer, so we'll be spending 5 days in the theme parks, with a rest day in the middle of the week. On our "off day," we'll enjoy a leisurely brunch at 'Ohana in the morning and lounge by the pool for the afternoon. In the evening, my husband and I have a date night planned at Disney Springs while the kids hang out with a babysitter from Kid's Nite Out at our hotel. Your kiddos are the perfect ages for a night at
Pixar Play Zone, a kids-only experience at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Check it out!
I hope this was helpful. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have!
