Greetings Stephanie,
I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting The Happiest Place on Earth with your family! I have a son on the Autism Spectrum as well, so I totally understand having a picky eater.
You are more than welcome to utilize the Baby Care Centers to microwave your son's meals. My son enjoyed the rocking chairs in the private and quiet rooms too. There are also microwaves available in the First Aid center. There's magical renovations being made to the First Aid center at Disneyland Park, be sure to click on the link so you know the
temporary relocation.
We also utilize the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card for our son while visiting the Disneyland Resort. With the Disability Access Service Card, you will go to one of the multiple guest relations kiosks throughout the park and inform the cast member about which attraction you would like to visit. They will fill out your DAS card with the name of the attraction and a return time. ANY time after the assigned return time, you can see a Cast Member at the entrance of the requested attraction to enter through the FASTPASS (FP) or alternate entrance as directed. The DAS card is not the same as an FP in that there is not a window return time, so there is no pressure to make it back within a certain period. You can only access one DAS card return time for one attraction at a time. While waiting for your DAS return time, you are welcome to grab a magical snack, enjoy a show, or watch a parade.
I recommend a link on the Disney Parks website called
Cognitive Disabilities that I find helpful as well.
I hope this helps and that you have a magical time. If you have any more questions please, write us back on how we can plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
chEARs!
~ Lynette
