I have 7 day tickets with reservations for May. I want to upgrade to an annual pass when they become available. Will I be able to upgrade the tickets I have when the AP become available? If so, will I be able to upgrade online or would I have to call?

Hi Kaycee, thanks for visiting planDisney!

Seeing the announcement that Walt Disney World Annual Passes would be available for purchase again was so exciting! I first saw the news on Disney Parks Blog, which I highly recommend that you follow for the most up-to-date Disney Parks news.

You should be able to apply the cost of your unused theme park tickets towards the purchase of an Annual Pass. A friendly Cast Member explained to me that on April 20, 2023, you’ll need to call the number listed under  “Existing Tickets” to upgrade your tickets.  Annual Passes are subject to availability and could sell out so I recommend calling early.

After completing your Annual Pass purchase, check your My Disney Experience account to see if you need to make new theme park reservations for your upcoming trip. In my experience, my theme park reservations remained the same after Annual Pass purchase, but it is always good to double-check!

Don’t forget that as an Annual Passholder you receive several discounts throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Discounts are available at several dining and merchandise locations, and even some Enchanting Extras like the Behind the Seeds Tour at EPCOT.

I hope this was helpful Kaycee! If you have any future questions, please visit me again at planDisney.
