I have a 6 day ticket from 1999 when I went as a kid. It still has days available and it states "any unused days can be used on next visit." I am planning a trip as a parent this time. Do I need to do anything special to utilize my old ticket?

    Hi Justin, welcome to planDisney!

Virginia is for Disney lovers and I'm so glad you'll be returning to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort during the 50th Anniversary Celebration. If you thought experiencing Disney magic as a kid was cool, you are going to be blown away by how awesome it is to experience the magic through your children's eyes. Be prepared to hear the question, "Did you SEE that?!" at least a hundred times a day. Several of those questions might come from you when experiencing the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction opening in EPCOT at the end of May.

Some things never change, like the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Some things change drastically, like the way we access the magic. Valid admission and theme park reservations are currently required for each park day. Theme park reservations cannot be made until valid admission is linked to your My Disney Experience account. Unfortunately, tickets purchased before 2010 cannot be linked online. These tickets require a call to a helpful Cast Member at the My Disney Experience and MagicBands number, (407) 939-4357. Their special kind of pixie dust will be able to modernize the magic of your 20th-century tickets. Phone lines are open 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. I recommend choosing patience as Cast Members are busy answering the calls of many Guests answering the call to The World's Most Magical Celebration. In my experience, calling right at 7:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. gives the shortest wait times.

I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship, Justin. I encourage you to continue using planDisney as a partner in planning before, during, and after your vacation.

    Choose magic,
    Jennifer
