Hi Chelsi and welcome to planDisney!
June is such a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! Having tickets that include the
Disney Water Parks is such a great way to experience more of what Walt Disney World has to offer. We have the Water Park and Sports Option added to our annual passes, so you'll often find us splashing around at either
Disney's Blizzard Beach or
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, especially in the summer.
Since you have a
5-day theme park ticket with the
Water Park and Sports Option, that gives you 5 days of admission to a water park or access to the
miniature golf courses (before 4:00 PM). You can use these admissions at any time during your 8 day period, even on the same day as a theme park visit. In your scenario, you can certainly do 5 days of theme park visits and then 2 days at a water park at the end. I recommend having a water park day in-between your theme park days so you have a day of "rest" to cool off from walking around a park all day in the heat, but having your water park days at the end sounds like a great way to finish off your vacation also.
Theme park reservations are required to visit
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. You do not need a reservation to visit a water park or the miniature golf courses, but they are subject to availability and maximum capacities for the day. Arrive early to maximize your time and fit in as much splish splashing as you can.
During your visit in June, Typhoon Lagoon will be the only water park open. The main attraction, the
Surf Pool, is not to be missed. My son loves to swim out as far as he can, ride the waves back to shore and then do it all over again.
Miss Adventure Falls is a fun attraction that the whole family can enjoy together. Sometimes there is a PhotoPass photographer at the bottom, so it's fun to see all of our faces captured while we are rafting towards the bottom. Castaway Creek is the lazy river and is my go-to attraction when I want a little rest. It will take you all around the park, so I like to use it as our mode of transportation since there are various enter and exit points. It's more fun than walking from attraction to attraction, especially if you're headed to the opposite side of the park. If you have little ones,
Ketchakiddee Creek is the perfect spot for you! This area is for kids under 48" and has small slides, shallow water, spray zones and a toddler sized tube ride. My kids spent most of their Typhoon Lagoon days there when they were smaller.
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
