Lightning Lane Passes can come in very handy as part of your Disney theme park touring strategy. They help minimize wait times by giving you access to what is usually a significantly shorter Lightning Lane queue. Lightning Lane Single Passes can be especially helpful as these are for some of the most popular attractions and aren't included as an option with Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
It's important to know that regular park admission is required for the date and park in which you'd like to purchase Lightning Lane Passes. A special event ticket alone, such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party isn't eligible for Lightning Lane Pass add-ons of any kind. So, if that's your only ticket for that day, you won't be eligible to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass. If you also have a ticket for Magic Kingdom that same day or a ticket with
Park Hopper Option for that day, you will be able to purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass. Keep in mind, these are only available and can only be used during regular operating hours. So, if you do purchase Lightning Lane Passes for the day of a party, they must be used prior to 6 PM.
This may not be the answer you were hoping for, yet I do have some good news for you. One of the benefits of special ticketed events is that wait times are often lower than they are during regular park hours, even for popular attractions. One of my top strategies is that I like to wait until shortly before the party ends to ride some of the busiest attractions. Often, the wait times are even shorter then, and as long as you enter the queue before the line closes, you'll often be able to ride, even if you don't board the attraction until after the event has ended. This is, of course, based on attraction availability and Cast Member direction.
