Hi Jennie, welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you have a spooktacular Halloween planned at Walt Disney World Resort. You'll get a double dose of magic by visiting a park during the day and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at night. Make sure you have valid admission and a
theme park reservation for the first park you will be entering that day. You do not need a theme park reservation to enter Magic Kingdom park after 4:00 p.m. with a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween ticket.
It sounds like you plan on spending Halloween at Magic Kingdom park, Jennie, which means you'll get to see the park transform from EARidescent in the afternoon to ghostly at night. To get checked in for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party, you'll need to have your method of entry scanned (MagicBand, admission card, or Disney MagicMobile pass), at which point a Cast Member will give you a wristband, event guide, and reusable trick or treat bag. In-park wristband distribution locations are found throughout the park, which means you don't have to exit and reenter Magic Kingdom. My husband and I picked up our Disney After Hours Boo Bash wristbands at Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland last Halloween. There was also a distribution location in Tomorrowland.
When planning your October 31 attire, please note that
costume guidelines are different for the Halloween party than they are during normal park hours. It's also best to plan for warm weather; no costume is worth melting for.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your hauntingly good question. We're just dying to hear from you again. Til then, beware of hitchhiking ghosts.
Jennifer
