This has already happened to me. I linked my mother’s ticket to my Disney account and when she logged in to her account she could not see the tickets. I couldn’t see them on the My Reservations and Tickets page on
My Disney Experience either – although I was also able to personalize her Magic Band on the Magic Bands and Cards page.
Then we realized that our accounts were not properly connected. My mother logged in again to My Disney Experience, visited the My Family and Friends List page, clicked on “Add a Guest” and selected “I’ll enter their name and age.” She filled out the required information, selected “Invite this Guest to connect”, entered the e-mail address for my Disney account and clicked on Done. I then logged in to my Disney account and accepted her invitation to connect. Her tickets were then automatically linked to her account and she could see them.
Since you can select Magic Bands for your friend, the tickets are all valid and linked, and you should not have problems using them.
