Bright suns, Lauren. Welcome to planDisney, where we answer all sorts of Disney vacation planning questions, including ones about experiences in a galaxy far, far away.
At this time, if you have date-based tickets, which it sounds like you do, you do not need a
Theme Park Reservation to enter the parks. The Theme Park Reservation requirements
just changed and some of the wording on the various websites have not yet transitioned to the new rules. However, I wanted to let you know that currently, Guests from the United Kingdom cannot book experiences in the
Enchanting Extras Collection such as
Savi's Workshop ahead of time online. When you arrive at the resort, you can check the availability of this experience on the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is full of wonderful experiences for which you don't need an advanced reservation. Want to eat some delicious and creative yet familiar intergalactic grub? Stop by
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Need a caffeine fix or some scrumptious popcorn? Don't miss
Kat Saka's Kettle (the
Cold Brew Black Caf is
everything!). You can interact with some Storm Troopers, catch
Kylo Ren searching for Resistance threats, and maybe even catch a glimpse of some special characters (this is the way!).
And then, there are the attractions.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is in a league of its own. The technology, story, and experience as a whole are just on another level. But don't sleep on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Each member of your travel party gets a different position on the ship to help the Falcon achieve its mission. It's interactive and a ton of fun...even if you and your niece are asked to be pilots and mostly just crash the ship into things. I'm not talking from experience or anything! Okay, maybe I am. But what can I say? Everyone has a talent and ours happens to be scraping up hunks of junk in space!
Lauren, I hope you have the best time in Blackspire Outpost and at all of the
Walt Disney World Resort. You can
reach out to me directly if you have any other questions.
Good journey,
Matt
