Hi, I have a 5 day ticket for disneyland. We are thinking of upgrading our tickets on the 5th day to the annual flex pass. However, the 5th day is a reservation required day. Does this mean that after the upgrade, we'll need to make a reservation?

Hey howdy hey, Thomas, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m so excited for your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation! And, I’m even more thrilled to hEAR that you’re planning to become a member of the Annual Passholder family! You’re going to love the flexibility and value that comes along with this unique Passport.

I have good news! Since you’ve already purchased a 5-Day Ticket, you won’t need to worry about making a reservation for the fifth day, even after upgrading your ticket. So, here’s how the process works: In order to upgrade your ticket to an Annual Passport, you’ll need to upgrade when your ticket is still valid (before the end of your fifth day). Also, with your multi-day ticket, your Passport will be backdated to begin on the first day that the original multi-day ticket was used. Lastly, keep in mind that only one theme-park ticket can be used as credit toward the purchase of one Annual Passport. To complete your ticket upgrade, simply head to the Main Entrance Ticket Booths on the Esplanade, or use my favorite handy helper, the Disneyland app

Once you’ve upgraded to the Disney Flex Passport, you’ll want to take a look at the Admissions & Blockout Calendar. There, you’ll find which dates will require a reservation. A “Good to Go” date is available to you without a reservation, while a date marked “Reservation Required” will need an advance reservation for park entry. “Reservation Unavailable” means the maximum number of reservations for the park has already been reached, and “Blockout Dates” refers to the days when admission isn’t available. Reservations can be made up to 30 days before your visit, and up to two reservations can be made during a 30-day window.

I can’t wait for you to enjoy the many benefits and discounts that come along with being an Annual Passholder!

Wishing you a year filled with Disney magic and memories!
