Hi Melissa! Welcome back to planDisney! I loved answering your last question, so I am happy to help with this great follow up question!
If you have a
multi-day theme park ticket in hand, it must be used within 13 days of the first use. Once you use your ticket for the first time at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, you then have 13 days to use the remaining days on that ticket. That means you can absolutely visit the parks on Monday, take a couple of days to go sightseeing, and then return to use the rest of your ticket days within that 13-day window.
Now, we previously talked about ensuring you have
valid theme park reservations, and I know you will be waiting with excitement to secure those visits, so just keep checking the park reservation availability calendar, and as soon as your dates open, grab those dates and let the countdown begin!
Melissa, your August trip will be here before you know it! While this may seem early, Disneyland loves to get the party started, and, in August something special happens. Things turn a little spookier, pumpkins grin from their high perches, and the
Halloween Time fun begins! For 2026, Halloween Time is scheduled to officially kick off August 21st, 2026! Along with frightfully fun décor, treats, and entertainment, the
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party after hours event happens at California Adventure. I went in 2025, and boy oh boy did I have a blast! It’s the one time that kids and kids at heart (aka, adults!) can dress to impress in full Halloween costumes! Party dates have been announced, and tickets typically go on sale in late June, so it is definitely something to keep on your radar if your travel dates align.
Please come back and see me if you have more questions as you continue planning. I am always happy to help.
