Can the 3-day ticket deal be upgraded to a pass?

    Hi Justine!

Welcome to planDisney! This is a great question, but first I'm so excited that you're considering making the switch to get 12 months of Magic by becoming a Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass holder! Did you know that in addition to being able to see Mickey and his pals multiple times a month, your Magic Key comes with all kinds of benefits, like discounts on dining and merchandise? And starting in a few days the very first Magic Key Holder Celebration Month kicks off with all kinds of goodies and specials just for members!

I'm very happy to say that yes, the limited-time Southern California Resident Ticket Offer is eligible to be upgraded to a Magic Key. And when you're ready to make this upgrade you can do so right in the Disneyland Mobile App! This transaction can be done at any time but must be completed by 11:59 PST on the third day of use.

Pro Tips: You'll only be able to upgrade to a Magic Key pass that is currently for sale. You'll also want to be aware of when you'd like to upgrade the SoCal offer; If you upgrade the promotional ticket before its third day of use you'll lose any future Park Pass Reservations you already scheduled as those were set for the day ticket and park pass reservations for Key Holders are pulled from a different allotment of reservations. You'll definitely be able to make new Park Pass Reservations, however, your dates or desired park may not be available at that point. Also note that your Magic Key yEAR will start from the date you first used your SoCal ticket, not the date you made the upgrade, so if you planned to spread the three visit dates between now and the offer's expiration date of May 26 it'd be a better idea to go ahead and upgrade sooner rather than later.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Justine! Don't forget to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for more Disneyland tips and tricks, and We'll See You Real Soon!
