Hi Christopher! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!

Oh boy! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is on the horizon! I love the time leading up to the stay to plan all the details that you will experience while there. Make sure to check out all of the happenings associated with the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. Mickey has decided to make this celebration ensue for the entire year and even into the beginning of 2023! He wanted to make sure that all Guests get to experience the magic of this event, no matter when their visit might be. The two new nighttime spectaculars, Disney Enchantment and Harmonious, are amazing displays that light up the night sky! If you plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT during your stay, be sure to check them out!

Disney Water Parks is the perfect change of pace to include in your stay to provide a different experience while also getting out of the heat for the day. Visiting during the beginning of September, you'll still find the temperatures to be rather high on certain days. Currently, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open to all Guests while Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is undergoing refurbishments. This may change before your arrival date, but I would recommend following the Disney Parks Blog for any updates or announcements.

With the purchase of a 2-Day Ticket with the Water Park and Sports Option added on to it, you'll have two days to enjoy the theme parks and also two days to enjoy the water park. This add-on actually gives you an extra day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon than you previously expected. If you did not want to visit the water park on two separate days during your stay, you also have the option to play a round of miniature golf at one of the two courses available on Walt Disney World property or a visit to ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex, if it opens back up before your visit. Since the Disney Water Parks do not require reservations to visit, you can be a bit more flexible in your plans on these days.

Christopher, I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming stay! Please stop back to see me at planDisney with any questions that come your way!

    See ya real soon!
