Welcome to planDisney Kierra! Thank you so much for sending in your question. It’s so exciting to hear that you’re planning your
Walt Disney World vacation and exploring ticket options to make the most of your stay. Adding water park fun can be a great way to kick off a trip or enjoy a more relaxed arrival day, and I’m happy to help clarify how the water park option works with your theme park tickets so you can plan with confidence and focus on making magical memories.
When you buy a 4-day theme park ticket with the Water Park & Sports Option, you have four separate days of theme park admission that you can use to enter the four main parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) over the length of your ticket’s valid use period. With the Water Park & Sports Option added, you also get four visits to the water parks or other eligible experiences that you can use on separate days or on the same days as your theme park visits depending on your plans.
In addition, if you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, you currently also get complimentary admission to one of the Disney water parks on your check-in day as part of the
Water Park Benefit for 2025 (and similar offers in Summer of 2026). That check-in day water park visit is a resort benefit and is separate from your theme park ticket days. That means if you go to a water park on the day you check in, it does not reduce the number of theme park days you have. You would still have four theme park days available to use at the four main parks during your stay.
Kierra, I hope this helps you feel excited as you finalize your Walt Disney World plans and decide how to best use your ticket options. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. Wishing you a vacation filled with splashes of fun, unforgettable moments, and plenty of Disney magic from start to finish!
