Hi Jody! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! A 9-day stay at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like a dream vacation. Having that much time allows you to experience everything there is to do across the parks, resorts,
Disney Springs, and everything in between.
With a
5-day Park Hopper Ticket, you'll have eight consecutive days to use your tickets. If you combine your ticket package with your Disney Resorts hotel reservation, your tickets will begin on your arrival day. You will have the option to spread out the days you visit the parks, especially if you want to fit in some time for other activities.
In order to visit the water parks, you will need to upgrade your ticket package to the
Park Hopper Plus Option. This will provide you with an equal number of visits to the water parks as you have days to visit the theme parks. Essentially, you can fill in the days you do not visit the theme parks with trips to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach (whichever is open when you visit).
Jody, if your trip is scheduled for 2025, you will have access to a
complimentary visit to one of the water parks on your arrival day. Guests staying in a Disney Resorts hotel are allotted this perk. However, the visit must be on your check-in day. If your ticket package does not include water park access, this will be your option to experience them without an additional cost.
Both
Disney Water Parks are packed with thrilling attractions and relaxing amenities. Each of them has a version of a lazy river, where you can float on a tube around the perimeter of the park, relaxing in the warm sun. There are also exciting water slides that come in all different thrill levels. There will be something for all age groups when visiting either park.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay, Jody!
