Hi Charlotte! Thanks for reaching out to us at planDisney.
A 14-night stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort? How wonderful! I absolutely loved my time at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. We stayed in one of the Royal Guest Rooms and as a huge
Disney Princess fan, I must tell you that it was such a dream come true. The details in the room were amazing and the headboards that light up were just the icing on the cake. But even if you're not staying in one of these rooms, or if you're staying at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, you are going to fall in love with these sister resorts. Plus, with
water transportation available to take you down the Sassagoula River to
Disney Springs, you'll have easy access to the delicious offerings and excellent shopping in this dining and shopping district.
If you are looking to keep your 14-night stay booked at Disney's Port Orleans Resort
and also have 1 night at a
Deluxe Resort simultaneously (meaning you'll have 2 hotel reservations for one of your nights during your stay), you
can do so as long as another adult books the second room. In other words, you cannot have two reservations for the same night under the same person. So if
your name is on the 14-night reservation, simply have another adult in your party be the lead Guest on the second reservation. Since you'd be paying for two rooms, you should have no problem leaving your luggage in one of the rooms.
When choosing the night you'll have two reservations, just make sure you have checked the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours page to see when and where they will be offered. This exciting perk is not offered every day of the week nor is it available for every park. I have taken advantage of this perk at both
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT. Since I'm a
Disney Vacation Club member and the resorts I usually book are
Deluxe Villa Resorts, I love that this option is something I can experience when I'm vacationing at the
Walt Disney World Resort. That being said, I vastly prefer Magic Kingdom Park if I want to use these hours to get as many attractions done as possible. The reason I feel this way is because there are many more attractions in this park and they are closer together. Meanwhile, at EPCOT, there are fewer attractions and they are farther apart. But you really can't go wrong with either one! It's just a matter of what you prefer, what you want to get out of it, and how far and fast you're willing to walk!
Charlotte, I don't think I need to tell you that you're planning a truly epic vacation. If you have any other questions,
don't hesitate to reach out directly to me!
Last night I made a wish on a star,
Matt
