For an 8-10 day stay, is it better to villa or club level? We are light eaters and plan on making light meals at a villa or utilize the club lounge. In a perfect world we’d like space for a family of four for 8-10 days with light meals and close to lobby

Hi Elizabeth. Oh my goodness, two great options to choose from! The best news is both options are wonderful!

If you are at your Resort hotel throughout the day, you will have more than enough food since you mentioned you are light eaters. In the morning, you will find a continental breakfast, followed by afternoon refreshments. In the early evening, there will be appetizers and wine available followed by desserts and cordials at night. If you plan your vacation with your main meal at lunch time in one of the amazing restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort, it sounds like the club level refreshments may take care your other dining needs. We love the club level rooms at Walt Disney World Resort. To my kiddos, the dessert options in the evening are magical pixie dust on an already amazing vacation.

As much as we enjoy the club level rooms, because you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for an extended time, I'm inclined to suggest a one bedroom villa or larger. You will have more space, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We stayed at Disney's Old Key West Resort for 11 days this past March. While we enjoyed every moment in the theme and water parks, it was also wonderful to spend time in our villa and just relax. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed several meals in our villa. We brought non-perishable food with us and then added salads and other items from the resort shop and quick service restaurant. It was perfect!

Another potential option, if you want to mix things up a bit, is a split stay; 4-5 nights club level and 4-5 nights in a villa. Depending on where you decide to call home during your vacation, you could also check the availability of the club level villas located in some of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

You have so many great options! I would love to know what you decide! Enjoy every magical moment of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
