I have a 3-day SoCal pass and have used 1 day on it, can I use it to upgrade to a Magic Key? Can I do it online or do I have to go to the ticket booth?

Welcome to planDisney, Victoria! Thank you for your question, I'm delighted to help.

Hooray! Magic Key Passes are available for sale (online) once again and I have great news for you, Victoria. You can upgrade your SoCal Resident Ticket to a Magic Key as long as the pass purchased is equal to or greater in value than the price paid for the original ticket. Something else to keep in mind, park reservations from your SoCal Resident ticket will not carry over to your new Magic Key and your Magic Key pass will be backdated to begin on the first day the original ticket was used. My advice is to visit the Disneyland app to complete your upgrade. Magic Keys are limited and subject to availability and sales can be paused from time to time or at any given time. Due to this, I strongly recommend upgrading as soon as you can.

I love being a Magic Key holder and am especially excited for all the magic in store this year. The Disney100 Celebration kicks off next week on January 27 along with the opening of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. I also like to follow the Disneyland Magic Key account for the latest and greatest updates.

Victoria, I hope this has been helpful and I wish you luck in upgrading to a Magic Key. Please come back and visit us with any other questions. Here's to a year filled with magic!
