Hi there, Margaret! Welcome to planDisney. I always get so excited when I see a fellow Pennsylvanian making their way to the Happiest Place on Earth! Whether it's your first time or your 100th time, you will be swept up in the charm and nostalgia of Walt's original park. I have to pinch myself every time knowing that this is where the magic began!
I'm happy to see you already have your
tickets in hand, and hopefully those
theme park reservations. If you purchased your tickets through the Disneyland website, you would have made reservations as part of the check-out process. You can always check by opening up your Disneyland Mobile App, tapping the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner, and looking at "Future Plans". You will see any upcoming theme park reservations within this section. Currently,
Disney Genie+ can only be added to your ticket at the time of purchase or once you scan your ticket into the parks. Not to worry though, this second option is just as easy as the first, and the cost is the same no matter when you make the purchase! It's a simple tap of your magic wand, and you'll be off on Genie's carpet making those
Lightning Lanes and soaring through your Disneyland day.
It sounds like you purchased three tickets at the same time, so they should all be linked to your account. This is great because you can purchase Genie+ for all three at the same time ... and then make Lightning Lane selections for everyone as well, guaranteeing the same return window. Once you are in the parks, open up the
Disneyland Mobile App, and you will see the "Disney Genie+ Service" box (usually in purple!) on your home screen. Tap the "Purchase for Today" button. Follow the prompts from there and those Lightning Lanes are yours!
There are a few things to note when you are mapping out your Disneyland days and nights. Currently, both
Fantasmic! and the
Halloween Screams fireworks are on a weekends-only schedule, taking place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. While you can enjoy the Halloween Screams projection show every night of the week, the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle will only light up with fireworks on the weekends. I always recommend taking a peek at the
Entertainment Schedule ahead of time to plan any must-see shows and attractions! Since you are almost at the 10-day countdown, I highly recommend listening to Episode 3 of the
planDisney Podcast - Halfway to the Holidays. My fellow panelists are giving out all the insider tips, tricks, and treats for the Halloween season. You'll be counting down the happy haunts in no time!
Margaret, I know you are in for some magical times ahead! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Boo to you!
Tara
