Hi Shelli, and welcome to planDisney! Early December is a fantastic time to visit the Disneyland Resort. You'll soak up the
magic of the holiday season, with plenty of amazing entertainment offerings to enjoy. I love that the dining packages are on your radar. It's a great way to enhance the viewing experience of the Resort's nighttime spectaculars.
Shelli, a few of the dining packages at the Disneyland Resort offer seating. It's a matter of selecting the right experiences and making reservations early. As dining reservations can typically be made as far as 60 days out, you'll want to make your reservations as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Let's talk specifics for the dining packages you mentioned:
- For the Fantasmic! Dining Package, I suggest purchasing the premium dining package at River Belle Terrace, which includes a 3-course meal with outdoor seating beginning at 7:15 p.m. You'd be able to watch the show from your table! The other dining packages include a voucher to view the show from a separate area, which is for sitting on the ground only. There are accommodations for Guests with disabilities. Please note that, during this time of year, Fantasmic! may not be on the schedule each night. That means there are fewer opportunities for the dining package, and it may be harder to reserve. If you don't see any availability for the dates you want, I encourage you to keep checking, as additional opportunities may become available as Guests modify their plans.
- For World of Color, I suggest the dessert party, because the dining package viewing area is typically standing room only. With the dessert party, you'll be seated at a table with a great view of the show and a box of tasty snacks and treats! I did this with my mom and sister earlier this year, and we had the best time!
- The Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace dining package offers indoor and outdoor seating, along with food, snacks, and desserts served in a bento box. Just note that seating preference isn't guaranteed, and if you are seated inside, you'll be able to access the balcony to take in the view.
- The Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Nighttime Gathering offers seating indoors and outdoors for dining. However, viewing of the nighttime spectacular is standing room only.
Remember that
Character Dining can be a fun addition to your trip as well, Shelli. I love Storytellers Cafe – this location has some
fun theming during the holiday season. Nothing is more magical than an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet and Disney friends visiting your table.
