Hey Howdy Hey Richard and welcome to planDisney!
With the sheer size of Walt Disney World Resort, it is always a good idea to have a solid plan for a holiday experience here. I love that you are planning well ahead for 2023 and looks like you have some tickets you need answers on. Hakuna Matata Richard, let's go over what you can do bout your tickets.
Now most often, you will be able to change things like dates and add-ons to your
Theme Park Tickets through your
My Disney Experience account. With specific regards to the expiration date, well, you may have to
ring Disney and have a Cast member help you through this process. In the past, Disney has usually taken the value of unused tickets and applied them towards a purchase of future tickets, much like your situation. You should be able to apply what you paid for your tickets towards the purchase of tickets with the new expiration date, although a fee may apply. The Cast member you speak with will be able to give you all of the specific details on pricing when you call.
Make sure after you speak with a Cast member about your tickets, do not forget about your
Theme Park Reservations. I know you will have some time to plan out which days you want to spend in which parks, but don't forget this step as you continue to move forward with your plans for next year!
Also, I would make sure to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the happenings in Walt Disney World. One of the big ones the Disney community is anxiously awaiting is updates to TRON Lightcyle Run in Magic Kingdom.
Disney did recently release a video of the testing of the ride vehicle but no word on expectations about opening dates. Hopefully, this will be announced if not open by the time you take your trip next year!
I hope this information was helpful and you can get your tickets taken care of easily. Best wishes on your continued planning and know you have your new Ohana here at planDisney for any further questions you may have!
Happy planning,
Nick
