Hi Trisha,
How exciting, your vacation is almost here! In just a few days, you will be in the middle of the Magic, isn't that neat?
If you haven't visited Walt Disney World in a while, there have been some pretty awesome updates with technology that you should know about. As you are aware, Guests may enter the Walt Disney World theme parks using a physical theme park ticket. However, you also have the option to use your smartphone to enter the theme parks with
Disney MagicMobile Service. This service essentially puts your ticket in your phone's wallet app. But don't worry, you can still use your physical tickets interchangeably. In order to set this feature up, you should first download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and then follow the prompts to set up
Disney MagicMobile Service. I also highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the features of your
My Disney Experience Mobile App before your visit. I absolutely love using my app while I am in the theme parks! I use it to check wait times for attractions, for
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, to view Showtimes, and so much more! In fact, I find the app so useful that I always make sure I carry a portable charger with me so that my phone will always be juiced up.
Trisha, once you are inside the theme park you do not need to scan into any of the standby attraction queues. However, if you are interested in shortening your wait times you may be interested in purchasing
Disney Genie+ service for your visit. If you purchase Disney Genie+ service, when you enter the Lightning Lane entrances you will scan in using your physical ticket or you can use your
Disney MagicMobile Service just like you did to enter the theme park.
I hope this information helps you with your planning! Please let us know if you have any other vacation planning questions, we are always eager to help you plan your next Magical adventure!
See Ya Real Soon!
