I have a 2day pass with the hopper at Walt Disney World, I want to got to animal kingdom in the morning on one day and end my day at Epcot. Which park do I make a reservation for? I don’t want to loose out on seeing Epcot because of the capacity limitation

    Welcome to planDisney, Mayra!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up in just a few days!  I'm sure you would like to finalize the details of your trip so you are all set and ready to enjoy the magic of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

To manage theme park attendance, Walt Disney World has implemented the Disney Park Pass system.  All Guests ages 3 and up require a Disney Park Pass reservation in addition to valid admission in order to enter a theme park.  A Disney Park Pass reservation is only required for the first theme park you plan to visit each day.

A ticket with the Park Hopper Option is a great way to get more out of your vacation days.  Currently, park hopping hours begin at 2:00 pm daily.  To be eligible to park hop, Guests must first have visited the theme park for which they hold a Disney Park Pass reservation that day.  If you plan to begin your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, then that is where you should make your Disney Park Pass reservation.

I understand your concern about capacity limits.  Occasionally, park hopping will be paused and a notification will be sent via the My Disney Experience mobile app.  While of course, I cannot guarantee park hopping availability on any given day, capacity closures are rare and only occur a few days a year, usually during very busy periods such as holiday weeks or Spring Break.  Generally, at this time of year capacity closures are not an issue.

Guests who are interested in experiencing EPCOT's newest attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind can request to join the Virtual Queue.  There are currently two opportunities to join the Virtual Queue at 7:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Guests must have a Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT to request to join the Virtual Queue at 7:00 am.  For the 1:00 pm opportunity, Guests must first have entered EPCOT.  It is likely by the time you hop to EPCOT, no more spots will available in the Virtual Queue.  If you would like to experience this attraction, I recommend purchasing Individual Lightning Lane access.  At this time, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does not offer a standby line.

Mayra, if you have any additional questions, please stop by planDisney again anytime.  We are always happy to help.  Enjoy your visit!
