with a 2 day pass at Disneyland do I have to pre designate which day i will go to which park?

Hey there, George! Welcome to planDisney. I am so happy to help you get ready for a day filled with magic at Disneyland Resort.

From one Coloradan to another, I completely understand the joy of swapping our (sometimes) snowy mountains for California’s mostly sunny skies and always cheerful palm trees. Stepping into Disneyland always feels like opening the first page of a fairytale.

When you visit Disneyland, every Guest needs both a valid theme park ticket and a park reservation. This means you will need to choose in advance which park you want to visit on each day of your trip. If you have a One Day One Park ticket, you will pick either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park for that day’s adventure. Your next visit, within the 13 day window of a Standard Ticket, can be reserved for the other park, or the same, whichever your adventuring heart decides! If you already have or plan to upgrade to a Park Hopper ticket, you will still choose your starting park, but after 11:00 a.m. you are free to hop over and explore even more magic.

Depending on when you visit, there is so much to experience. The Disneyland 70th Celebration is sparkling at full brightness right now and continues through August 2026. It is one of my favorite celebrations to date, packed with beautiful décor and little magical surprises that make you feel connected to Walt's dreams. I recommend watching Disneyland Handcrafted before you travel. It gives you a peek into Walt’s imagination and the artistry that brought his ideas to life. When you walk through the gates of Disneyland Park, you can feel how his dreams grew into something real, and you step right into the heart of the magic he imagined.

If your visit is coming up soon, I hope you get the chance to try the Cookie Butter Churro Sundae at the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. The Churros are perfection on their own, but when you add Cookie Dough Ice Cream and Cookie Butter Sauce, it becomes a treat worthy of a royal proclamation!

George, whether this is your first visit or your hundredth, you are about to step into the happiest magic on earth, at the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have any more questions while you plan, I hope you stop by again. Thanks for visiting planDisney, and for your great question!

Wishing many magical memories to you!
