I have a 2 day pass, for Disney Studios & Epcot in early November 2023. I would like to change the dates to May 2024 How can I amend the tickets, so that they are no longer date specific as reservations are no longer required in 2024 ?

    Hi Simon,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with a great question about how to change your date-based tickets to another date.

First, let's talk about the transition from needing a Theme Park Reservation for arrivals before January 9, 2024.  For Guests who have a date-based ticket visiting before January 9, 2024, they will need both a ticket and a Theme Park Reservation.  Beginning January 9, 2024, Guests with date-based tickets no longer need Theme Park Reservations.  There are other types of admissions besides date-based tickets that will still require Theme Park Reservations, such as Annual Passes or student group tickets.  Since you have date-based tickets, all you need to do is change the date of your existing November 2023 tickets to your chosen date in May of 2024.  If the price for the new date is more than your original purchase price, you will just pay the difference and you will be all set with your new tickets and no Theme Park Reservations need to be made.

To change the date of your unused date-based tickets, you should first log into your My Disney Experience account.  Once you are logged in, go to the section titled "My Plans, Reservations, and Tickets".  From there you should find your current ticket and select the option to "Change Ticket".  You will be able to select a new date, and if the price is higher than the previous ticket you can pay the difference.  If you have difficulties doing this online, you can call the phone number listed in this link for Disney Park Tickets and a friendly Cast Member will help you change your tickets.

I see that one of the theme parks that you are planning on visiting is EPCOT, and if you haven't visited EPCOT in the spring before, you are going to absolutely love it!  Although the dates haven't been announced yet for 2024, it is very likely that you will be visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.  There are gorgeous topiaries placed throughout the park, scrummy treats at the Outdoor Kitchens, live entertainment, and so much more!  My family is currently planning on visiting EPCOT next May and we are excited to see what new exhibits and experiences will be unveiled.

I hope this information helps you with your holiday plans.  If you have any other vacation planning questions, please be sure to come back and visit us here at planDisney, where we are always happy to help you plan your next Magical adventure.
