Hi Megan! Welcome to planDisney.
The
water parks at the
Walt Disney World Resort are great options, especially for a summertime visit! Currently,
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is the only water park open at the resort. But that's okay because it has more than enough splishing and splashing to make for a wonderful day to cool off and have some fun! Whether you're swimming amongst the waves of the
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, laughing with your family and friends on
Miss Adventure Falls, or letting your little ones have a blast at
Ketchakiddee Creek, there's something for everybody to enjoy. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements about
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Currently, the Water Parks and Sports Option is not offered as an add-on for a 1-day theme park ticket. However, you
can add on the Park Hopper Plus Option. With this option, you would get a 1-day visit to a theme park, be able to hop to the other parks starting at 2 p.m., and also visit the water park on the same day.
Since that may be a lot in one day, especially for a family, if you are looking to only visit one theme park and then visit the water park on a separate day, your best option would likely be to purchase a 1-day
theme park ticket and separately purchase a 1-day
ticket to the water park. If you want to purchase the Water Park and Sports Option, you would need to purchase at least a 2-day theme park ticket with that option added on. If you do this, you will have four days to use your 2 theme park days and 2 visits to a water park or other Walt Disney World Resort fun (water parks and select golfing experiences).
Megan, have you heard about the incredible
4-day, 4-Park Magic Ticket that was recently announced? This ticket option will be available starting May 23, 2023, for select dates from June 1, 2023, to September 29, 2023. It's a great deal!
If you have any other questions, please feel free to
reach out again in the future!
Come and roll in all the riches all around you,
Matt
