Hi there Shruti, Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
As of January 9th, 2024, Disney World no longer requires a
Theme Park Pass Reservation for most guests. If you have purchased a regular date-based ticket (either tickets only or as part of a vacation package), you no longer need to reserve your park visit in advance. When booking a
dining reservation, you do not have to specify which park you'll be visiting on a specific day. A date-based ticket only requires you to select a start date when you purchase, so you can freely make dining reservations at any park on your selected dates.
Theme Park Reservations are still Required for the following ticket types:
- Student group tickets
- Sports and Convention tickets
- Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket
- Disney Military Salute Ticket
- Annual Pass
For admission types requiring theme park reservations, be sure to check
reservation availability prior to purchase. Please note that theme park reservations are limited in number and subject to availability. Availability can change until the theme park reservation is finalized.
Shruti, I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you again for visiting planDisney. We'll see ya real soon!
