Hi there, Emily, and welcome to planDisney.
It's always super exciting to be able to help a fellow Brit plan a trip to my favourite place on Earth - Walt Disney World!
Our UK and Ireland exclusive
Magic Tickets really do offer such good value for money. They provide 14-days of theme park admission, to be used in any way you wish, over an 18-day period. So, for instance, if your arrival date is 24 July 2025, your 14-day Magic Tickets can be used on any individual 14-days from 24 July 2025 - 10 August 2025, inclusive.
Each day that you enter one of the 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studio's and Animal Kingdom) will count as 1-days admission from your total of 14-days.
In addition to this, your 14-day Magic Tickets also provide you with a separate 14-days worth of
water park admission to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
Going back to your question, you can indeed visit Typhoon Lagoon (subject to seasonal opening) prior to visiting one of the 4 theme parks. This would not utilise any of your individual 14-day theme park admissions. It would simply use 1 of your 14-days worth of water park admissions.
It does not make any difference whether you decide to visit a water park or a theme park first.
My family love nothing more than visiting the water parks, particularly during the summer months. I would highly recommend using the
mobile order service if you will be dining whilst at the water parks to save time waiting in line. The chicken rice bowl at Leaning Palms in Typhoon Lagoon is so good!
I hope that this has helped with your planning, Emily. Please feel free to visit us again with any other questions you may have.
Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
