Hello Planning on the 3 day park ticket. My question is...if we go to MK for the day and say my kids get tired early afternoon, can we go to our hotel and come back later on during the day w/o paying more or extra? Same day ticket use?

Hi Chee! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Parks in general really understands families. It seems to me that they have truly thought of many things to help families not only get the most out of their trip, but they also have allowed for some great perks for everyone to enjoy.

If you have a three day Theme Park Ticket you can leave and enter the same park in one day as many times as you want without an added cost to you. For example, if you arrive to Magic Kingdom park in the morning and then decide to go back to your Resort hotel for a rest, you can then re-enter Magic Kingdom park on that same day.  Now if you have a three day Theme Park Ticket with the Park Hopper Option, you can go to multiple Theme Parks in one day without additional cost. For example, if you arrive to Magic Kingdom park in the morning, then take a rest at your Resort hotel and decide to go to Epcot the same evening, you can do that without added cost to you! Please note that the Park Hopper option does cost a little more money, however if you are hoping to experience more than one park each day then in my opinion it is a worthwhile option.

I highly suggest that you do take the time mid-day to take your kids back for a nap. Even those with high energy can tire easily thanks to all of that Disney magic! It has been my experience that taking the kids back for a rest in the afternoon really makes for a much easier and more enjoyable time. I also suggest that you take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in each of the four Theme Parks, especially if you are in the diaper stage or just need a break from all of the excitement. These are our favorite places to go to for a quiet diaper change and to cool off!

I hope that you have a wonderful time!
