Hi Donna! Welcome to planDisney.
Oh, Gawrsh! First, please let me extend my sincerest condolences for your loss of a dear family member. My heart goes out to you. Once you lay your loved one to rest, I know a visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth will be a healing place. If only for a day or two, I hope celebrating
The World's Most Magical Celebration will be a welcome escape.
While
Theme Park Tickets are both
nontransferable and nonrefundable, you do have options. Did you know, that any
unused portion of an expired Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket can be used towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price? So, if you decide to use your first day and let the second day expire, hold onto your ticket to apply that value to your next Theme Park Ticket purchase.
Alternatively, you can change the start date of your Theme Park Ticket up to midnight the day before your
Disney Park Pass Reservation. In the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner, select "Tickets and Passes," choose your ticket, and select "Change Ticket." Follow the prompts to choose your new arrival date. If there is a difference in cost, submit payment and you are all set. Do not forget to secure new park reservations. Here is the
availability calendar to explore your options.
I am optimistic one of these options is a perfect solution for you. I will leave you with soothing words from my namesake Princess. "No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." ~Cinderella.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
