I have a 4 day park ticket. I would like to add two more days and have one of those days possibly be a park hopper. Can you add park hopping to your ticket on the day you plan to park hop?

Hi Christine! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

Oh boy! Less than a month away from your Walt Disney World Resort stay! I'm sure your excitement level must be growing every day! I can't tell you how many times I have decided to add on extra days to our stay both before we left and while we were there. We'll have the entire trip planned to perfection, then I'll get an extra day or two that I can take off of work, and immediately make the changes to our vacation package to extend the trip. There is just so much to see and do, that any extra time we can get, we try to take full advantage of it.

Adding days to your park tickets is very simple, especially if you do so before your visit. The easiest way is to call the Exiting Tickets line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to make the change on your tickets. The Cast Member will also be able to add the Park Hopper Option if you choose to do so. Your only option is to add this on for your entire length of stay. Unfortunately, you cannot pick and choose only one day to purchase it for. I would suggest going to the Walt Disney World website and checking the cost for yourself. I have a feeling you are going to be pleasantly surprised by the difference between a six-day standard ticket and a six-day park hopper ticket. One thing to note is even if you decide to add on the Park Hopper Option while you are in the middle of your trip, you will still need to pay for the entire length of your stay. I had this idea years back that I might be able to just add it on the last day of the trip, but that is not the case.

Depending on where you stay, the Park Hopper Option can be very valuable. For example, if you are staying at an EPCOT Resort Area hotel, having the option to enter EPCOT through the International Gateway any night of your trip is very convenient! You can spend your day at the Magic Kingdom Park, come back to the resort to unwind and recharge, then walk over to EPCOT for the evening festivities. I'm a big fan of the flexibility the park hopper offers to your trip. For as much planning as we all do to make sure each day goes to plan, it never seems to work out perfectly. Being able to call an audible and change your itinerary for the day is a great perk!

Christine, I hope this information helps you with your upcoming stay. Have the best time next month being part of the magic!

    See ya real soon!
